Stayed at the Holiday Inn so stopped in for a quick lunch. Food was not bad. I ordered a chicken salad with the blue cheese on the side. Husband had the Caesar salad with chicken.
My salad tasted fine but the ingredients were just thrown on top not mixed in at all. Spinach ( with LARGE stems),
topped with cranberries then walnuts on top of the berries and then the chicken on top of it all. It was just disappointing no one took the time to toss the salad. Maybe it's just me - but the taste was good. Service was great. Drink refills on time - nice lunch. Husband enjoyed his salad. -

BEWARE and make sure you check your bill!
We were staying at the resort where Gold Mine is located and were given discount coupons for breakfast ($12.50 off per person). The food is nothing to rave about - on par, or even a little below the standards of Denny's, but still okay.
The very bad: We were overcharged for our meal, given a shady explanation of why, automatically charged gratuity (not indicated on the check), then given a second check that had a line stating "Gratuity not included."
Details: When the waitress brought out the 1st check, it had the total hand written on it, not actually calculated on the check. The amount due written was $6.10.
Here's the math as it was on the bill:
Meals $12.95 x 2 = $25.90
Tax = $2.14
Total = $28.04
So, subtracting $25 for the coupons would have left us a total of $3.04, not $6.10. I asked the waitress and she said it was because tax is calculated before the discount, which I told her still didn't add up as all but $.90 would have been covered. Left over $.90 + Tax $2.14 is still $3.04. Now, she said she would do it on the computer and bring me the calculations. When the bill came, as she was putting it down, she now mentioned that it also included tip, which she previously didn't mention or include on the bill. Okay, so now we got to the bottom of this. So I gave her my card and when she brings me the signing slip, it has a line for "gratuity" and below that line it says, "Not Included."
So this was the waitress' plan: Write a hand written total which included tip in it, but not mention that the actual tip is included while hoping I not notice the discrepancy in the math. As I pay, either by cash or card, not knowing that a tip was already included, I would then tip more. I'm going to guess this was not an isolated incident, but something she does often. I'm also not sure if this is something only she does, the rest of the wait staff also participates in, or if it is something that management condones, encourages or turns a blind eye to, BUT I do know that this is a very unethical way to conduct business and could possibly even be illegal.
If you do decide to eat here, make sure you CHECK YOUR BILL. -

Staying at the Holiday Inn timeshare and wanting a close breakfast. After seeing the overall rating, I almost skipped right over this place. Digging deeper, I saw that most liked the food (especially breakfast) but complained about the slow service. Not in a rush, I figured I'd give it a try. Glad I did. Even though they were busy, I was seated promptly. Coffee came out fast. I went with the breakfast burrito, which also came out fast. I waited a few mins for a coffee refill, but whatever. Food and coffee were both great. Overall, service was consistent with what you'd expect. I'd have no issue coming back again before going home.

Placed an pizza order over the phone. The order was NOT correct but didn't realize until after I picked up and got back to the room. Not a big deal, but make sure to always check before you leave.
Also, there was a special running which was not offered. :-( -
